ABOUT
Our desire is to teach our children to passionately love God, His Word and all people, training them to become leaders of their generation who impact and change their world for God. We believe that parents, before any other institution, are responsible for the spiritual nurturing of their children. Our goal is to partner with parents in providing a solid spiritual foundation upon which to train up children in the ways of God. To supplement the ongoing nurturing, training, and education provided by parents, we see value in the following:
To teach major narratives, themes, and the central message of the Bible.
To apply scriptural teachings to everyday situations children face.
To teach about the three unique persons of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
To cultivate the fruits & gifts of the Spirit in those who have accepted Christ as Saviour.
To help children memorise key Bible verses.
To instil a respect for the God-given authorities in their lives.
To see godly friendships form and a respect for others nurtured.
To help children understand the Gospel and how to share it with unchurched friends.
To provide a creative, safe, and fun environment in which children are loved, accepted and acknowledged as beloved children of God.
* The children worship with their families every sunday. After worship the children are encouraged to go to their age-appropriate classes.
We understand that some parents would desire to have their children in the service with them, but we have found in the past that to some in the body who do not have children this might be a distraction. So, please understand our heart as a church, is to be a blessing and provide and environment for all to hear the word and grow in the Gospel. We feel it is important for the children of the House family to be in kids church, not because "children should be seen and not heard" but because our kids are important! We passionately want our kids to learn about Jesus and grow in the Gospel in a setting geared to their age level. Parents we hope you see this as a blessing.
Our children are very valuable to us, and it is our highest priority to ensure their well-being and security. To ensure your child's safety, children will ONLY be released to the pre-assigned parent/care giver who signed them in.
*Our Child Protection Policy will soon be available for download
Princes & Princesses of the King
: Age: 0-5
We aim to provide a fun play creche for the little ones in our church family. Mums are free (if they feel comfortable) to leave their wee ones with our Creche team. If the child needs a nap, feed, or dinner, that will be the parents responsibility. If your child becomes discontent, distressed, or in need of constant care we will ask you to come and tend to your child.
*The service is shown on a screen in the creche so you can be with your child and not miss the service.
Lords & Ladies of the King: Age
: 6-12
During kids church the kids will have a small time of free play, games, bible study, Q&A, a craft and sometimes a small treat. Please be sure to tell us on the sign in sheet if your child has any allergies.
